Reverend Darrell C. Thomas

Reverend Darrell C. Thomas was born the second oldest son to Mr. & Mrs. Charles Thomas Sr. He is a 1979 graduate of Walter F. George High School in Atlanta. In 1984, Reverend Thomas received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Morris Brown College, continuing on to earn his Master of Divinity Degree in 1996 from the Interdenominational Theological Center. Reverend Thomas has also completed postgraduate coursework towards a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Luther Rice University and Seminary. Through his passion to uplift the academic achievement of youth, Reverend Thomas served as Dean of Students and Educator at Old National Christian Academy for several years. He was also an Associate Adjunct Professor of Religion at Georgia Military College (GMC), Fairburn Campus for several years. He is presently employed with the Clayton County Board of Education. While at Morris Brown College, Reverend Thomas met and married Sharon Smalls. They have been married forty years. Their union is blessed with two sons. Also, they have two beautiful granddaughters.
In 1987, Reverend Thomas was called into the ministry. He was ordained at Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church, in Atlanta, on July 28, 1991. While at Travelers Rest, he served as Director of the Youth Church Ministry. Reverend Thomas held his first meeting in his home on September 14, 1996. During this meeting, he revealed what God had shown him. The name “Love Fellowship Christian Church” was revealed to him. The Church Motto became “There is no Greater Love.” The Church Mission was revealed to be “Making God’s Love Visible on Earth.” From this meeting came the birth of Love Fellowship Christian Church. The first worship service was held on April 20, 1997, in the auditorium of Old National Christian Academy.
In March 2002, Love Fellowship started holding service in Fairburn, GA. By the grace of God, on April 12, 2009, we entered our newly purchased church for worship, in Union City, Georgia. It is here that Reverend Thomas is fulfilling his vision to provide spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical needs throughout the communities located in South Fulton County.

My Sonshine Foundation
My Sonshine Foundation was created in loving honor and memory of Amari Mitchell - beloved son, grandson, nephew, beau, friend, entrepreneur, confidante, fantastic cook, talented athlete, impactor, trendsetter, and most importantly, a child of God - who tragically and unexpectedly passed away on November 23, 2021. Amari had BIG plans and a BIG heart. He especially had great compassion for the homeless and underprivileged and had plans to build a homeless shelter.
In alignment with Amari's plans, My Sonshine Foundation supports homeless and underprivileged individuals and families, as well as as organizations that have similar missions. Recipients are determined by the Board of Directors.
My Sonshine Foundation also supports bereaved parents. The pain of losing a child compares to nothing! It is excruciating, heart-wrenching, and surreal. My Sonshine Foundation helps bereaved parents get the help that is undoubtedly needed and reassure parents that they are not alone. If you or someone you know has experienced this unimaginable loss, please visit the Help for Bereaved Parents tab, email mysonshinefoundation@gmail.com, and/or call 770-376-7115 for support.
